This computer is part of the Neff Lab computer cluster located in Bingham 235.It is a Gateway PII-450 Intel computer running windows 98. The computer is named after Carlo Alberto Castigliano (Nov 9, 1847-Oct 25, 1884)


Alberto Castigliano was born in Piedmont (Italy). He attended the Technical Institute of Terni and the Polytechnic of Turin completing his dissertation in 1873. In his dissertation Intorno ai sistemi elastici the theorems now known as Castigliano's first and second theorems are presented.
